Flies Needed "Now" for Fishing the Smokies for Trout

These are the Insects and other food the trout may be eating and what you should be imitating. It
also
includes those insects that are getting close to hatching because those are the ones you
should be imitating with a nymph.
Hatching:
1.    Midges
2.    Little Winter Stoneflies

Most available/ Near Hatching and other types of available food:
3.    Sculpin, Minnows (Streamers)
4.    Blue Quills (Nymphs)
5.    Blue-winged Olives (Nymphs)

These are the flies that you need to imitate them (Click on the Flies)

1. Midges:
Hook Size 20/22
Larvae
Pupae
Adults

2. Little Winter Stoneflies
Hook Size 16/18
Nymph
Adults

3. Streamers: Especially good in off colored, high water & early/late in the day
Hook Size 6
Brown Sculpin
White Belly Sculpin

4. Blue Quill:
Hook Size 18 (use nymph now)
