Flies Needed "Now" for Fishing the Smokies for Trout

These are the Insects and other food the trout may be eating and what you should be imitating. It
also
includes those insects that are getting close to hatching because those are the ones you
should be imitating with a nymph.

1. Blue-winged Olives (random - mostly Little BWOs)
2. Giant Stoneflies - starting within the next two weeks, nymphs active now
3. Hendricksons - hatching
4. Cinnamon Sedges - Abrams Creek mostly
5. Eastern Green Drakes - Abrams Creek mostly
6. Midges (random)
7. Little Short-horned Sedges (heavy but random and isolated)
8. American March Browns - hatching/sparse/isolated
9. Light Cahills - starting any day
10. Little Yellow Stoneflies - should start any day, nymphs active now
11. Streamers
