Current Conditions in Great Smoky Mountains National Park
The current conditions in the park are best described as extremely cold. The temperatures are
below zero at this time in most all areas of the park. Outside my door atop Pigeon Forge it is one
degree according to my outside thermometer, but it is highly possible it is frozen and not working.
I think the low in Knoxville will be 14. I feel sure this isn't ground breaking news to anyone in the
Southeast. It is cold and going to continue to be cold.
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have been very crowded for the last ten days but that changes today.
I can put my garbage outside because if a bear isn't hibernating by now, its craze and  needs
shot.
