Whatever Hits Me
Looking at my Perfect Fly email from yesterday and last night, I noticed two very
different type of "extremes" about the weather. One was from Montana where the
temperature is in the teens at night and twenties during the day with snow is in the
forecast for the next week. Several USGS stream stations are not working because
the water is frozen.

Another was from Northern California, referring to the Sacramento River where the
weather is going to be in the seventies tomorrow and Sunday. Another was from
Michigan where the water is slush ice and cold temperatures are prevailing and
another was asking for advice on fishing this weekend in the Smokies where it is
going into the seventies this weekend.

What hit me was the huge differences in the weather at various places in the U.S.
and what all those air masses are going to do when the converge. I heard mention
of tornadoes this morning on the tube and that is probably one result of it.

I just wrote a lot and said nothing but I'm again pressed for time. We have several
more orders to ship today and we all three are fighting deadlines to do with that.
Three orders for Getting Started fly fishing sets came in last night and we have to
put all three of them together as well as more sets of flies. Sorry for the lousy
articles but I'll get back to normal soon.

I have a lot of ideas about improving this site and we will begin work on that soon.

I won't be writing anything on Christmas Eve day or Christmas day. I can write and
post articles from anywhere in the country just as well as I can at my office but I
won't be doing so on those two special days.
