Whatever Hits Me - The November Issue of Perfect Fly
Fishing Journal Is Out
The November issue of the Perfect Fly Fishing Journal is out. If you signed up to
receive the Perfect Fly Fishing Journal, you have already received it via email. If not,
you can sign up to receive it in the box on your right. It is free.

This issue's "Destination Trout Stream" article features the best tailwater in the
South and one that happens to be fairly near the Smokies - the South Holston River.
The opening sentence says it all. How many places do you know of that you can fish
365 days a year and have an excellent chance to catch trout?

You may also enjoy the
August Premiere issue of the Journal. My favorite article in
that issue is "Them Ole Brown Fish (Smallmouth Bass)" featuring my old friend,
the Great Billy Westmoreland. Writing it brought back a lot of very good memories. If
there is a fish in heaven, I'm sure Billy has already caught and released it.

Thanks to my friends Chris Tobias of Alaska and Mark Karaba of Michigan for
writing some interesting articles.

By the way, the beautiful picture of Deep Creek on the index page of the November
Issue shows just how far friends will go to make sure they catch the most fish. They
lied to their friend shown fishing in the picture. They told him that more than a foot of
snow was predicted for the Smokies the day they were fishing, so in order to make
sure he would blend in with the background, he wore a white shirt. I'll bet he gets his
own weather report in the future.
