Weather and Stream Conditions - Coming Week
Streams:
Some of the streams have reached their normal low levels for this time of the year
and others still have a little more flow than is normal at this time. Little River is
flowing at 79 cfs at a 1.52 height. That's right on normal.

Oconaluftee River is flowing at 219 cfs and a 1.27 level. That's a good level that's
a  little above normal for this time of the year.

Cataloochee Creek is flowing at 46 cfs at a 2.26 level. That's also a better than
normal flow for this time of the year.

We don't have a USGS gauge on Little Pigeon River near the park but from the
looks of it, my guess is it's a little above normal for this time of the year.

Weather:
The following forecast is for the Gatlinburg area. There's a slight chance of frost
this morning. The high will be about 67 with calm winds. The low tonight will be
around 44.

There's a slight chance of showers on Tuesday with a high near 64 and a low of
41. There's a 30 percent chance of showers on Wednesday with a high near 55.
The low Wednesday night will be around 32.

Both Thursday and Friday should be sunny with a high near 56 and a low of 34.

Saturday should still be sunny with a high near 60 and a low of around 41. A slight
chance of rain (20%) returns on Sunday.

All things considered, it's a good forecast and a good time to be fishing the
streams of the Great Smoky Mountains
