Weather and Stream Conditions Forecast - Coming Week
The high today in Gatlinburg should reach about 55 degrees. There's a slight chance of rain this afternoon.
Tonight, you can expect more rain and strong wind. The chance of rain is 90% and the winds could reach up
to 35 mph. The rain and wind will continue into Tuesday morning. The high Tuesday should reach about 58
with a low that night of about 36. Wind gust could be up to 40 mph.

A slight chance of rain is expected Wednesday afternoon. The high should reach about 46 with a low that
night near freezing. Thursday brings a continued chance of rain but with snow added to the forecast.  The
high will be about 40 and the low Thursday night will go down to about 30. The high Friday is expected to
only reach about 40, with a chance of continued rain and snow showers. The odds are reduced to only
about 20% for Friday night with a low of 29 degrees expected.

Sorry, but as of right now, the weather doesn't look very inviting for Saturday. There will still be a chance of
rain and snow with a high of about 39 degrees expected. The low Saturday night is expected to be about 28
degrees. Some sunshine is expected to return on Sunday with a high of about 47.

Stream levels are currently a little on the high side. What they will look like later this week leaves a big
question mark in my mind. The weather experts aren't predicting much rain but the high elevations of the
mountains don't exactly follow the normal local weather forecast. My guess is the levels will remain high for
the next week but based on the rain expected for the lower elevations, the streams should be wadable.

Here's a good way to combat the lousy weather forecast. Watch our new trailer on "Small Stream
Brook Trout".
