Fly Fishing Strategies - Which Flies To Use - Coming Week
The streams in the park are all blown out. More rain is expected all the way through Thursday morning. Little
River was flowing at around 5000 cfs when I got up this morning. It reached close to 6000 at one point. It's on
the way down but I'm afraid it will be headed back up again. The other two USGS real time sites report about
the same thing, or blown out conditions. Looking at the
precipitation map, it appears the high elevations are
getting the most rain with the North Carolina side showing more than the Tennessee side of the park at 5:15
AM this morning.

I noticed
this on one on my marked News sites this morning.  It made me very sick at my stomach. I know we
shouldn't let things like this bother us, but it did.

My strategy advise is to "stay out of the park for a while", irrespective of how well prepared you think you are.

I will update this article either Thursday or Friday along with the regular scheduled one.
