Fly Fishing DVD - Part 10
In the first ten parts of our series on the production of our fly fishing DVD, we discussed our first four
releases. The first featured Charity and Ian Rutter and the third and forth featured Angie and I. Since then we
have produced and released 16 more programs on fly fishing included a four hour long one on the Smokies
and a four hour one on Yellowstone. Our fifth release was a program showing how to tie all the knots you
need for fly fishing backing, line, leader and tippet. It includes knots for both fresh and saltwater species of
fish.

We wanted the knots and rigging video to go along with our "Getting Started" program. Nothing is more
frustrating for a beginner than purchasing the equipment and gear needed only to discover there are some
knots you will need to learn to tie before you go fishing. Loop to loop connections simplify things some but
you still need to know how to tie a few other knots even if your only going to fish for trout.

"Knots and Rigging Technique” also covers the techniques necessary to assemble everything. It begins with
basics such as installing fly line backing and fly line on reels, knots connecting backing to the reel, the leader
to the fly line, tippet to the leader and the tippet to various types of flies. It continues far beyond the basics to
insure viewers that you learn to tie all the knots they may need for almost any fly-fishing situation. The
techniques for rigging multiple flies, strike indicators, shock and bite tippets, along with many other
specialized rigs used in fly-fishing are also shown in a clear, easy to follow manner.

If you learn to tie the knots in this DVD, you will never need to learn another one. By the way, we priced this
DVD at only $14.95. Although it contains some nice fly fishing scenes, it was mostly shot in a studio and we
wanted it to be as economical as possible.
