Crazy Weather - Part 2
Just to proven the point I was trying to make yesterday, check this out. Two days ago, when I
wrote the Strategy article, the rain forecast was 30 percent for Friday and 50 for Saturday.
Yesterday, when I wrote the Crazy Weather article it was increased to 60 percent for Friday and
remained 50 for Saturday. Now the same weather report for Gatlinburg is showing an 80 percent
chance of rain for Friday and 50 percent for Saturday. I mentioned that they always increased it
as the fronts approach during each weather cycle and this is proof. I could have told the guys
that get paid to do these forecast, two days ago, the odds of rain for this weekend was much
higher than they were predicting. As a matter of fact, I could have done that for the last few weeks
each and every time they waisted time making stupid long range forecast. I just don't get it.
What's the point? It now looks like there's a 50-50 chance of high water for the weekend and my
optimistic outlook was just as stupid as the weather guys long range forecast. The facts are, we
will just have to wait and see. The facts are, is I don't know what the situation will be and neither
does anyone else, or at least anyone else on earth.
Now continuing with the Crazy Weather, check this out. This is almost unbelievable. Look at
AccuWeather's long range weather forecast for Gatlinburg for the next 24 days. Since this will
change every few hours and depend on when you look at it, I will list the high temperatures they
are predicting for these dates:
March 22, 78 degrees
April 1, 75
15th, 62 and by the way, the lows are showing 34 degrees at this point.
We are going to experience Global Cooling!
If this forecast is close to being accurate, it means we will have snow in the high
elevations in the middle of April. That has happened before and really isn't unusual.
What's Crazy about this is that we have had temperatures in the low 80s in Gatlinburg
for the past few days. I think I'll just stick to Astronomy.
